APIC was founded in Richland Washington by Former Mayor Rob Welch and his wife Sarah in August of 2007. During his tenure, the Welch’s were continually frustrated and angered to see the release of dangerous child predators back into neighborhoods to recommit heinous crimes against our children.

It became clear that the government was not going to provide the solution. The only way to bring sanity to the situation was to create a national organization with the sole mission of protecting our children from rape and murder by adults.

APIC’s Priorities:

• Lobby at the state and federal level for a change in soft and ineffective laws. Engage in opportunities around the country to educate communities at public speaking events. Promote campaigns of supportive leaders as well as fight to remove politicians and judges who would turn their backs upon our message.
• Be a face of strength and consistency at trials of serious criminals around the country demanding justice for the families of victims, through local press conferences, public rallies and campaigns.
• Create and maintain a national membership. Informing and educating people regarding predators in their neighborhoods. Helping to connect victims and families with appropriate law enforcement, legal aid, counseling and support services as needed.

This is the calling of decent men and women throughout our nation. It defines who we are as individuals and as a society. We will become the source of great fear; compelling predators to seek help long before they act upon their horrific thoughts with the knowledge there will be no second chance to rejoin society. We will not allow it.
